Political Russian Roulette

hey everyone,

thanks so much for the support you have expressed for this initiative and for your pertinent thoughts. i have already received a number of emails from both sides of the atlantic. some excellent ideas have been brought up lately and, despite a generalized sense of exasperation, many remain hopeful. i do hope to hear from many more of you either on this forum or privately via email.

a number of colleagues have raised concerns of political agendas being disguised as altruistic endeavors. this has rendered some of us reluctant to participating in such forums. i urge you to set aside political and religious affiliations and focus on uniting our efforts to build a healthier and safer nation. although politics are deeply involved in our objectives, we must find allies who will look beyond their personal gratification and win the trust of our people.

how do we best treat our patients? ideally, through a multidisciplinary approach using the most up-to-date knowledge, skills and state-of-the-art facilities. well, we must think of our healthcare system as a patient. we must coordinate all the various components needed to build a functional and efficent healthcare system.

help me identify these components.

cheers
